I’ve often had trouble communicating my ideas to people, because I can never find the right words to describe what I mean. I draw and doodle a lot, to help explain my ideas. I think through things differently. I have an amazing photographic memory. These things were always a bit strange until I arrived at OCAD U and found myself surrounded by many other students and teachers who communicated the same way as me. This was very liberating, and really helped me to learn how to use this type of thinking as a strength, instead of a weakness. I embraced my visual thinking, and learned how to bridge the gap.

Today I found this video about visual thinkers. Yes, it is sponsored by GE, but it’s still a neat video! Check it out, perhaps you’ll discover that you’re a visual thinker too.
