National Portfolio Day
OCAD University hosts National Portfolio Dayin November of each year. National Portfolio Day is your opportunity to meet professionals from some of the finest design and visual arts schools in North America. It’s not a competition, and no offers of admission will be made. Bring your portfolio, containing no more than 15 pieces of your best work, and have it critiqued by the school of your choice. Join us this year on November 8th, 2014 at OCAD U. We’ll review portfolios from 12 – 4pm. More here

Portfolio Clinics
These daylong workshops will help fill in the gaps in your visual art and design experience, build your confidence in working with different materials and techniques, and give you an opportunity to explore new territory. It’s a great way to try on OCAD U for a day, have a studio experience and let your imagine soar. More here

Create Your Future
A special event for applicants who have received an offer of admission to OCAD University. Learn about the first-year experience, studio and lab facilities, as well as the tremendous resources available in our community to support your creative growth. Talk to staff, students and administrators, and take a self-guided tour. Admissions & Recruitment staff will be on hand to accept outstanding documents and answer any questions you may have. Self-guided tours will take place after a panel discussion. Once you receive an offer of admission, your invitation will follow.

Summer Intensive Program
Your portfolio is a visual representation of who you are. As a beginning artist or designer you need to learn the skills, concepts and language to successfully convey your ideas as a visual communicator. Find out how to connect what is inside you to what you need inside your portfolio. More here

Digital Summer Intensive Program
Digital technology is transforming everyday life, creative practices and cultural industries. With this rapid evolution many artists and designers are moving beyond current technologies, inventing hybrid approaches to research and studio practice. The Digital Summer Intensive Program is for students interested in investigating the combination of digital and traditional in art and design. More here

Annual Grad Ex

The graduating class each year has an eclectic mix of  graduating students working in fourteen undergraduate programs. The show transforms the university’s main building into the biggest exhibition of the year, and will show work from a broad spectrum of disciplines, ranging from drawing and painting, printmaking, photography, criticism and curatorial practice, integrated media and sculpture/installation in the Faculty of Art; to advertising, environmental, industrial and graphic design, illustration and material art and design (jewellery, fibre and ceramics) in the Faculty of Design. The show is coming up from May 1- 4th – you should check it out!

Campus Tours
Tours of our facilities are available during regular business hours in October, November, January, February and March. The Admissions & Recruitment Office is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (excluding holidays).
