Ada Slaight Chair of Drawing and Painting Ilene Sova visited @universityofthebahamas campus in Nassau over the weekend to deliver 170 lbs of art and school supplies donated by members of the OCAD U community to support relief from the devastating impacts of Hurricane Dorian in September. The university’s students have been displaced from the Freeport campus, and are working towards rebuilding their school. The initiative was a collaboration between OCAD U’s Drawing & Painting program and our International Projects & Partnerships unit.

Ilen Sova is pictured with University of The Bahamas’s Dr. Douglas Barkey, Dean, Faculty of Liberal & Fine Art, Dr. María Oriakhi, Interim Vice President of Academic Affairs and artist Antonious Roberts.
