Meet a 2021 Peer Mentor:

Hi! My name is Hyesoo (she/her) and I’ll be going into my fourth year of Illustration. This is my first time being a Peer Mentor and I’m excited to be a part of the team! I live in Newmarket but I’ve lived in Toronto for most of my life before I moved here.

My work focuses on storytelling with lots of colours and a sense of light. I enjoy creating dreamy and whimsical illustrations that can be enjoyed by any age. This year, I am hoping to hone my digital concept art/rendering skills and self-publish my first picture book!

COVID has taught me how to stay self-motivated and make the most out of online classes but left me feeling a bit disconnected from the community so I’m looking forward to seeing my friends again and meet you all in person!
