Through the Globalink program, Canadian students can go abroad or foreign students can come to Canada. The deadline for applications is Friday 20 November 2015 to 17 pm (PST). Results will be announced in February 2016 and research projects can begin anytime between February 2016 and December 31, 2016.

 Henry Mandelbaum Graduate Fellowship for Excellence in Social Sciences, Humanities, or Arts

this year’s application packages for the Henry Mandelbaum Graduate Fellowship for Excellence in Social Sciences, Humanities, or Arts. Please note that the deadline for applications is February 26, 2016.

OCUFA’s Board of Directors has approved the establishment of one fellowship for students at the Masters’ level with an award of $2500, and one fellowship at the Doctoral level with a value of $5000. The doctoral level recipient will be expected to deliver a paper to OCUFA’s Board of Directors’ meeting in May of the year following the award.

Established in 2011 by the Ontario Confederation of University Faculty Associations to honour their retired Executive Director, the fellowship is awarded to a full-time Master’s level student at a publicly-assisted Ontario University who has demonstrated academic excellence, shows exceptional academic promise, and has provided significant community service in his/her university career. Financial needs of students may be a selection factor.

Eligibility
• Accepted to or enrolled in a full-time Master’s level program at a publicly-assisted Ontario University
• Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or international student with a valid Canadian study permit
• Is in a programme requiring a Master’s thesis
• Will graduate no earlier than April, 2017
• Seeking financial support to pursue or continue first Masters
• Has achieved a first-class average, as determined by university, in each of the last two years of full-time study or equivalent Evaluation Criteria
• Academic excellence
• Academic promise and research potential
• Leadership (demonstrated and potential) as defined by personal achievement, community service, involvement in academic life, volunteerism, civic engagement Documentation

• Three letters of reference highlighting evaluation criteria and how candidate meets each, as well as potential benefits to the university the candidate will attend
