STEAMLabs is hiring an Operations Coordinator to play an important role in the upkeep and development of our operational systems, infrastructure, and member engagement.
We’re looking for a customer-service-administrator wizard who likes people as much as they like processes. Your primary responsibility will be to welcome incoming clients, answer emails, and manage their service experience. Another key area is to support and collaborate in developing our community engagement strategy through our online channels (e.g. Slack community, member email updates, social media) and face-to-face events. Generally, you will help maintain structure in a chaotic environment by translating a minutiae of tasks into sensible processes, and sticking to them. You’re a top-notch communicator, who likes to balance warmth and friendliness with efficiency and tact. You’ve worked directly with clients before, get satisfaction from sending emails, and love closing loops. Extra points if you’re interested in technology and/or education and/or making things. You’ve worked in complex environments before, you love making lists, updating spreadsheets, nailing workflows, and iterating procedures so the lab moves like a well-oiled machine/robot.
