CALL FOR PAPERS: University of Toronto Medusa Graduate Student Colloquium

Call for papers

The Anthropology Graduate Student Union (AGSU) at the University of Toronto invites abstract submissions for the 5th annual MEDUSA graduate student colloquium. The colloquium will take place on Thursday, March 15th and Friday, March 16th, 2018 in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Toronto, St. George campus.

We encourage submissions of quality student research on any topic, but especially those which creatively interpret this year’s theme of “diversity”, by considering who and what is included (or excluded) in encounters between various species, environments, disparate groups, and ideas. We encourage applications from both graduate and undergraduate students in all subfields of anthropology, along with students from other disciplines and institutions.

For individual paper and poster submissions, please submit an abstract of no more than 250 words to by Friday, January 12th, 2018.

Further details can be found in the attached call for papers. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Medusa Coordinating Committee at
