Talk: MY JOURNEY: Shaping my role as a designer in the federal government

Talk: MY JOURNEY: Shaping my role as a designer in the federal government by Robin Kilroy, Department of Canadian Heritage

Robin Kilroy, A/Manager of the Innovation and Experimentation Team at the Department of Canadian Heritage, has worked in many fields but started her career in the federal public service as a French-English translator and now finds herself in the role of designer.

She’s coming to OCAD U to talk about her experience and to share what she has learned along the way, and get you thinking about how you want to shape your career in the design field.

Come and join an informal discussion that will look at:

How did she get here?

What skills and outlooks have served her well?

What does it mean to be a designer in the federal government?

What does design look like in a bureaucratic system?

What about the messy people part?

When:  Thursday March 28, 2019 @ 6:00pm

Where:  SLab, Room 410, 4th Floor, 205 Richmond St.W
