An opportunity to contribute to the development of Virtual Platform for Indigenous Art (VPIA), this event will convene a panel of Inuit artists and scholars to discuss the role and importance of materiality and sustainable scholarship in the creation and presentation of Inuit art. Our three exciting speakers include:

Nyla Innuksuk, a film director, virtual reality content creator, and CEO of Mixtape VR, a 360 and Virtual Reality production company based in Toronto.

Couzyn van Heuvelen, a sculptor and installation artist whose works draw from both art history and Inuit life.

Krista Ulujuk Zawadski, a researcher and curator whose career bridges Arctic anthropology, museology, and critical collecting practices.
