ABOUT OCAD UNIVERSITY:
Founded in 1876, OCAD University (OCAD U) is dedicated to art and design education, practice and research and to knowledge and invention across a wide range of disciplines.

Note: The “Mississaugas of the New Credit” now refer to themselves as Mississaugas of the Credit.
In March 2021, the name of “Sharp Centre for Design” was changed to Rosalie Sharp Centre for Design, in honour of our generous alumna Rosalie Sharp.
The former Sharp Centre for Design is the award-winning, black and white “tabletop” structure that stands above our main campus building on 12 multi-coloured legs. The centre was named in honour of Rosalie and Isadore Sharp’s first multi-million dollar gift to the University. Mrs. and Mr. Sharp are loyal supporters and are deeply involved in the OCAD U community, having donated more than $9 million to the institution over the past three decades. Most recently, they funded the revitalization of the Rosalie Sharp Pavilion, located on the corner of Dundas St. West and McCaul Street. We are tremendously grateful for their generosity and dedication to transforming the campus for the benefit of students and our creative community.
