Congratulations to 2015 OCAD U Photo Program graduate  Genevieve Blais, for her inclusion in the upcoming exhibition:

PARABOLIC: AN EXHIBITION OF TORONTO POP-SURREALISM

The exhibition runs August 14 – 28 at The Redhead Gallery and features to work of Troy Brooks, Genevieve Blais, Marjorie Campbell, Yang Cao, Christopher Hayes, Stepahnie MacLean, Paul Saari, and Kyle Stewart.  The gallery is open Tuesday- Sunday from 11am – 6 pm.

BIO: Genevieve Blais is a photo-based artist earning great praise for her work involving art historical and theoretical narratives. The artist’s twisted representation of familiar subject matter characterizes her fantasy world. Her captivating yet sinister work draws on themes of sexuality, mortality and symbolism.

Blais’ works have been commissioned by national institutions like the Royal Ontario Museum and the Ontario Science Center, exhibited nationally and featured on a range of publications across mediums from Beautiful/Decay, the Today Show to Photo+ in Korea. She currently lives and works in Toronto.
