 Exhibition Summary:

This 1-week group exhibition in OCAD University’s Ada Slaight Student Gallery is part of an ongoing series of research and networking events focusing on gender and photography between Napier (Edinburgh), Ryerson and OCAD University.  This exhibition seeks to bring together a diverse selection of feminist-minded artists who have created artworks exploring themes of gender through/inspired by photography.  Curators Jenn Long and Clare Samuel are interested in showcasing multiple perspectives and artworks that promote critical reflection, gender equality and social change.  Although it is anticipated that the exhibition will focus on photographic and video works, the curators are open to reviewing any artworks which are inspired/critiquing gender and popular culture.

The exhibit will run from March 5-11, 2017, with an opening reception on March 8th, International Women’s Day.  Please note, this is an unsupervised OCAD U gallery located on the second floor of 100 McCaul Street.
