Dehmin Cleland, Indigenous Visual Culture

Dehmin Cleland

I’m Dehmin Osawamick Cleland from Wikwemikong unceded territory, currently residing in Toronto. I’m a third-year student going into my fourth year with a major in Indigenous Visual Culture and a minor in Material Art & Design.

I like to create bead work and quill work and would like to develop skills in textiles, dying methods, and pattern drafting.

In my experience with remote learning, some days are good, some days are not. But, because of isolation and not seeing my family, there have been challenges with mental health. I’m looking forward to seeing my family and friends in person.
