Meet a 2021 Peer Mentor:

Hiya, everyone! I’m Tala (she/her). I’m currently in my second year of Industrial Design with a minor in Entrepreneurship & Social Innovation. This is my first year as a Peer Mentor and I’m super excited to be a part of this amazing team at OCAD U.

I am currently in Bahrain! (if you’re a fan of F1, you’ll know exactly where that is). Interactive designs are my favorite to make! I love seeing people actually use my design and seeing their reactions to the designs and my work just make the stresses of the project worth it. Some skills I’m looking forward to developing when school returns (and we’re able to go back to workshops) is my knowledge and skills with actual equipment available at OCAD U.

I think one major change in the way I work and learn is that I’ll be much more thankful for the days I’m able to go into office and lessons (definitely not skipping any classes) in the post-COVID world. I’m super excited to be able to meet everyone in person and hope you guys and your families stay safe!
