Meet a 2021 Peer Mentor:

“Hi! This is Aimee Chen (she/her), third-year Digital Futures. This is my first year as a Peer Mentor, but I was also a Student Mentee. This program really is helpful in getting familiar with my brand-new university life here. So, that’s why I volunteer this year to help more students like me when I just came to OCAD U! We are their Peer Mentors, but yes, we are also their friends. From this Student Mentor program, we learn more about OCAD U, get to be better at managing our time, and most importantly making friends!

COVID-19 has been affecting our daily lives for the last year now, so online communication becomes critical during this special period. We miss the time when we were able to meet face-to-face but online class is a miracle that gathers people from all around the world to have class together. We all do our best!

I will be back to Canada in August, which is really exciting. Looking forward to the new semester and hope I can truly help someone out. You are welcome to send messages and ask any questions! Take care and stay safe.”
