Design Abroad: India is a truly unique course open to undergraduate and graduate students across ALL faculties at OCAD University. This intensive three-week experience gives students the opportunity to work with local communities in Goa, India to co-design solutions that have a meaningful impact while gaining an in-depth understanding of the local culture through exploration, observation, and design.

The new costs look like this:
$918 Program Fee (covers food, accommodation, and program support for 3 weeks) + your flight, optional weekend travel, tourist visa, travel insurance, spending money, and tuition

The Fellowship:

Studio [Y] is a fully-funded fellowship for young people aged 18-29 focused on learning, innovation and leadership based out of the MaRS Discovery District in Toronto, Canada’s largest innovation hub.

Each year, Studio [Y] invites 25 young people to participate in the full-time, 8-month Fellowship. As a Fellow you will:
Develop your personal portfolio by working on real-world challenges with partners from across business, government and society.

  • Build networks with peers, mentors, coaches and industry leaders
  • Learn critical 21st century skills you need to solve complex problems
  • Pursue your own innovative ideas for bold change in society
  • Receive a $20,000 stipend to cover the costs of living and have access to up to $5,000 in transition funding upon successful completion of the program

UPCOMING COMPETITION: Student Exchange Program for Latin America and the Caribbean


Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada (DFATD) will soon be launching the competition for the Student Exchange Program (SEP) for the 2015-2016 academic year.  Canadian institutions will be  invited to submit applications for college, undergraduate, and graduate students from Latin America and the Caribbean as well as faculty and international liaison officers from the CARICOM who wish to come to Canada for a short-term study or research exchange.


The deadline for applications will be the end of April 2015. Please see the links below for the programs included in the Student Exchange Program (SEP).



Please note that DFATD has updated its online application process. The International Scholarships Canada Application Tool will allow you to:

  • Explore scholarship opportunities which can be applied for online
  • Apply for relevant scholarship programs facilitated by DFATD
  • Save an application to complete at a later time
  • Submit an application for consideration
  • Avoid re-entering the same information for multiple applications.

LANCEMENT IMMINENT : Programme d’échanges d’étudiants de l’Amérique latine et des Caraïbes

Affaires étrangères, Commerce et Développement Canada (MAECD) lancera sous peu le concours du Programme  d’échanges d’étudiants (PÉÉ) pour l’année académique 2015-2016.  Les établissements canadiens seront invités à soumettre des demandes pour des étudiants au niveau collégial, de premier cycle et des cycles supérieurs de l’Amérique latine et des Caraïbes ainsi que des professeurs et des agents de liaison internationale de la CARICOM qui souhaitent venir au Canada pour des échanges à court terme pour effectuer des études ou de la recherche.

L’échéance pour les demandes sera à la fin avril 2015. Les programmes suivants sont inclus dans le Programme d’échanges d’étudiants (PÉÉ) :

Veuillez noter que le MAECD a mis à jour son processus de demande de bourses en ligne. L’outil de demande Bourses Internationales Canada vous permet :

  • d’explorer les différentes bourses pour lesquelles vous pouvez soumettre une demande en ligne
  • de soumettre une demande à des programmes de bourses facilités par le MAECD
  • de sauvegarder une demande pour la compléter à une date ultérieure
  • de soumettre une demande pour qu’elle soit considérée
  • d’éviter de devoir entrer la même information plusieurs fois sur de multiples demandes
