No Context or Studio Place or Decentralize or We Actually Maybe Right Now Have Everything We Need
Thesis exhibition by Victoria Mohr-Blakeney, MFA in Criticism and Curatorial Practice

No Context, a performance I am co-curating with Erin McCurdy and Cara Spooner as a part of my MFA in Criticism and Curatorial Practice at OCADU  at the George Brown School of Design.

Amelia Ehrhardt will perform her new work No Context or Studio Place or Decentralize or We Actually Maybe Right Now Have Everything We Need on March 25th at 8pm. No Context will be presented across the street from the original 15 Dance Lab at the George Brown College of Art and Design (room 108) 230 Richmond St E (Britain St entrance).

Commissioned by the Nomadic Curatorial Collective, No Context is a new choreography in conversation with archival documents from 15 Dance Lab, Toronto’s hub of experimental dance performance (1974-1980). Ehrhardt has created “something between a sector study and a love letter, a wagging finger, and an upturned palm” to the current Toronto dance community while paying aesthetic homage to the work created at 15 Dance Lab.
