The Artist Herself Conference and Exhibition

WHEN: May 8 – 9
WHERE: Kingston, ON

The third triennial CWAHI conference is a three-way collaboration between Concordia University, the Agnes Etherington Art Centre and Art History at Queen’s University.  The conference will bring together over 60 scholars, curators, archivists and conservators, presenting new and creative ways to think about women’s contributions to Canadian cultural heritage through the lens of self-representation.

Highlights include a keynote address by Dr Beverly Lemire, an exhibition reception at the Agnes Etherington Art Centre, and tours of Queen’s University Archives and the Queen’s Art Conservation Program.

The conference honours the 40th anniversary of the groundbreaking exhibition From Women’s Eyes: Women Painters in Canada, curated by Dorothy Farr and Natalie Luckyj at the Agnes Etherington Art Centre in 1975.
We hope to see you there!
