Abstract Painting Exhibit

The Learning Zone is proud to be currently exhibiting a collection of student paintings from Professor James Olley’s Abstract Painting class, DRPT 2B02.

The show began Monday December 5, and will stay up until December 16th.

From the course description: “This course introduces students to expressive and experiential nature of abstract painting. Students develop their own painting vocabulary and an understanding of abstract form through a series of projects that emphasize the meaning of colour, gesture, form and compositional design that belie the flatness of picture plane.”

Check out the Gallery of individual paintings below:*

*Unfortunately we do not have an image of Tetdra Sonet Providence’s “Constance”.

Hello OCAD!

We’re getting our hands grubby at the Learning Zone laying the foundations for the new Learning Zone blog. This will be a space to learn about upcoming (and past) events and workshops, the daily goings-on in this popular library space, the students and staff who work in the space and any mindless or mindful topics we would like to share with the OCAD Community at large. Welcome here and please return soon!

Until then, you can always keep up with our activities on our Facebook page or on Twitter.
