The Learning Zone

XPACE: External Space presents a new video installation, Inside the Village By the Grange, by Meg Remy of U.S. Girls.

Shot using 8mm film featuring a bird name Bobo, a hand and a glamorous woman name Lulu descending the staircase inside the Village by the Grange.

Remy references classical cinematic techniques through the usage of lighting, camera angles and editing that brings the viewer into the past, however the inclusion of the film sprockets frames the film in the present.

On until August 15th at the Learning Zone and online at xpace.

Last Wednesday, E. Howey, along with assistants Sab Meynert and Marta Chudolinska, demonstrated awesome screen-printing techniques for producing zines, t-shirts, posters and other applications.

Come to the LZ to look at the handy zine which was used in the workshop. It is available in our Zine Library collection. It is a great reference  to guide you through your next DIY screen-printing project.
