Zine Workshop Series: Screen-Printing

Screen printingLast Wednesday, E. Howey, along with assistants Sab Meynert and Marta Chudolinska, demonstrated awesome screen-printing techniques for producing zines, t-shirts, posters and other applications.

Come to the LZ to look at the handy zine which was used in the workshop. It is available in our Zine Library collection. It is a great reference  to guide you through your next DIY screen-printing project.

It was a fun day at the Learning Zone on Saturday April 7th, for those who participated in the grOCAD Hanging Garden Workshop. Marta, Laura and Mike, members of the grOCAD group, discussed and demonstrated alternative and creative ways to garden in an urban environment. The grOCAD group was formed by students, faculty and staff who are  interested in creating greener spaces on campus. Visit the Learning Zone to see the Window Farm project by grOCAD.

Bookbinding Workshop with OCADU Zine Collective

The bookbinding workshop was held on Feb. 23 with Marta Ryczko, our student liaison monitor primarily responsible for working with the zine library and the zine collective.

Participants created quarter bound case bound (meaning hardcover) books.

The next bookbinding workshop will be on March 16th… watch for it on the OCAD Zine Library Facebook page.
